I'm not a big fan of being a social person, but that doesn't mean I can't talk and tell stories that make people laugh, especially on the internet. I can call myself an extrovert. Yesterday my family went out to celebrate the birthday of someone I didn't know very well. My sister and I were a little embarrassed, especially because my mom kept insisting on saying that "we're shy" and that "we're in a PRE-TEEN TIKTOKER phase🤪". Bro, she said that to the couple's daughter who was my age, and trust me, I AM NOT a pre-teen. While they were talking, I couldn't fit in the conversation, so I just talked to my sister. I would have talked to them if the subject was something I know about, and bro, my mom was FURIOUS with me because we didn't talk at all. So ok, I decided to talk, and for a little more context I have ADHD, and maybe that causes an overwhelming hyperfocus on dinosaurs. So I decided to make the worst decision of my life: to show off my skills and knowledge about prehistoric lacoste. The people at the table seemed interested, but my mother absolutely hated it. Today at home, my mother came over to complain about my "rude" behavior, but I was just trying to fit in! Even though I was terrible, I managed to make some conversation. I felt sad when she compared me to the daughter of the birthday couple, "a girl who talks nicely to others and who talks nicely to her mother." She was mad because I was being a little curt. She also said that I embarrassed her. I am sad. AND MOM, TELL YOUR HUSBAND TO STOP COMING INTO OUR ROOM FOR NO THING!
